Show Desktop Icon

I accidentally deleted it from my quicklaunch taskbar and cleared my trash. Is there anyway to restore it.

I am not sure but I bet if you create a new desktop icon on your desktop and drag it down to the quick launch and release it would stay on the taskbar.

Not sure if you can, but do you know you can just hold your windows key and hit the d key and do the same thing?

I had to do this once on a PC I worked on, this method works; however as mentioned earlier, it is easier to push Windows+D IMO.
