My old computer keeps locking up all the time in different games, though when I run prime 95 for hours it works great the temps are low cause I installed a Socket A cooler and its even cold!
But when I run games, like Q3A after a couple of mins the comp just locks up... I returned it to default speed and Vcore and it still lockup... It got a 300W PSU and a K6-III 400 CPU.
Could I just reinstall the OS? I don't wanna cause I have very slow HD and it will take forever...
Any suggestions?

Are you running a 133FSB? Only I notice you've a stick of PC100 memory in there along with some PC133. Not a good idea to mix the two. And if you're running a 133FSB you're pushing that PC100, that's most likely causing the lockups. Try taking out that 64Mb stick.

I think I gotta separate the two rigs...
The old comp runs at 450 (100x4.5)...

LOL sorry 'bout that :)

Okay let's try something different. What PSU are you using? are you getting a good supply along the 5v rail?

Also, have you tried upping the vcore a notch?

The PSU is a 300W GYRO and this comp don't have hardware monitor so I can't tell...

The Vcore is already on 2.7, I read its dangerous to CPU to up it more than that...

2.7???? Don't you mean 1.7? Tbirds can go over 2.0v quite happily with really good cooling, but for that speed it should be around 1.8-1.85v.

There are a number of good software monitors that will tell you the power you're getting along the 3.3, 5 & 12v rails.

OK I got it now, it's your old rig that's freezing up :)

Jeez I gotta stop these drugs ;)

Right you're overclocking your graphics card (memory by a fair bit), try lowering that down to say 100Mhz. Remember Prime95 will only test the CPU, games will effectively stress everything, so I'm guessing your memory doesn't like running at that speed (or get better cooling on it)
