this is going to be primarly a gaming system and i wont be Over-clocking

thanks for your thoughts shootz. :sn:

I would downgrade the cpu to a 3200+ and upgrade the hard drive to something bigger...or if you don't need space and don't wish to set up raid, you could get a raptor.

i would just leave everything as it is.the 3400+ will give better performance and an 80gb hd is enough for installing all your favourite games.not everyone needs a 120gb monster for downloading pr0n like me :D .

Ahh, but its not the size... well it is sort of.... larger hard drives are just faster than smaller ones. A 120gb will feel a little jumpier in windows than an 80, and a raptor would feel faster than a 120. Raid also feels faster than a raptor, has many times more space and can be cheaper...but its harder to set up. Anywho I recomend upgrading the hard drive, fast hardware can't be fully appreciated when windows is sluggish.

hmmm...last time i checked windows xp wasnt a game or benchmark.thats why i prefer cpu speed over hd speed.
