Hey, i've had my water cooling setup running for a couple of months now, i've disconnected it from my computer for a few days and would like drain the system and re-do the look. I have a few questions about corrosion and algea growth. First, I have an all copper Swiftech MCW6002-A and a Chevette HC (brass I think?). The waterblocks exterior has some discoloration, is this a sign of corrosion? I am running about 80% distilled water and 20% non brand anti-freeze. I don't see any sign of algea but the tubing is a little cloudy, I will put a tablet of Erythromycin in it from now though. When I disconnect everything how should I clean all the parts (important question)? And lastly, is there any CLEAR anti-corrosion stuff?

By the way, this talk about rubbing alcohal, some people say its great, others say it is terrible. If anyone *REALLY* knows what they are talking about can you let me know your opinion on this.

Apparantly Zerex is clear anti corrosion stuff. Thats all the info I know as I'm pretty much a newbie to this. Hopefully the others will reply!

why? i use it in my loop and have had no discernable ill effects. the water wetter i used, though... it stained my tubing, stnk like a mother, and i got nauseous any time i used it. with rubbing alcohol, i experience none of these effects. i don't have any acrylic in my loop so why shouldn't i use alcohol?
