Could someone help me confirm the compatibilty of a new HD?

Hi peeps,

Im looking at the new hitachi drives which are due in Q1 of this year. They are built on new technology (actually an update) one of which is the reason for my concerns.

Will the SATA II interface be backward compatible with mthbrds that support the SATA I interface?

As for your second the spec sheets say it is true so i guess it is ;)
