I just sent in a WU that took 3 minutes 36 seconds. I've read that these occassionally happen...due to bad data or whatever. But, do I need to tell SETI@home that I just sent a bad WU?
I got credit for the WU though. That'll sure improve my average times. Going from around 5 hours per WU down to 3 minutes! LOL

I had one like that as well, and everyone stated that it was normal and to "just be pleased with it". So I am:)
all you need to do is smile :)

It was not a bad work unit. What it was is a work unit that had extremely spikes, so the program determined that it had Radio Interfence. SETI designed the program to stop analysis and send it back. You do get credit for those work units.
