It all depends on what you want.

If you're going to travel around with it, the 600m is the best bet, as the other two will give you back problems carrying them around all day.

If it's going to be a home machine, I'd go with the 5160, because I have one and I like it. However, the 9200 has a better video card, though I don't know how those two CPUs stack up against each other for gaming. Still, the 9200 does have that nice wide screen, but the 5160 has more memory and a bigger drive, but the 9200 has those cool multimedia controls on the case itself, but but but. . .

Well, I am actually just going to sell this Laptop. I guess a better question would be, which one do you think more people would want to buy NIB?

i would buy the 9200 out of the 3, only reason is that i already have a 600m lol, if not then i'll go with the 600m, the middle one seems to be so "middle" nothing stands out about that one.

Good luck reselling Dells for profit; their website undercuts pretty much any price a reseller can sell it for. Unless you're supplying these laptops as part of larger projects for businesses, I wouldn't expect to make any money.

Not planning on making any profit.

I had an Inpiron that was damaged when a water pipe broke in my house. Insurance is paying replacement cost on it ($1700). They wont give cash, they want me to buy a new one and send in the reciept, so I am stuck with a laptop I dont need or want (I have a new Precision). I was just going to buy it and then sell it on Ebay or something. I was only expecting like 1/2 price return, but whatever, its worth more than my crappy old Inspiron that I had laying around.

Ah, I understand now.

In that case, I'd go with the 9200. Heck, you might like it better :)

get something better then XGA - that is only 1024 x 768 - i would say get the 9200 - but it is a desktop replacement - NOT a mobilr laptop - i got a 9100 and i love it with its 15.1 WUXGA (1920 x 1200) and a 3.2 pressy.

If you knock the 600m down to a 1.8 you can shave quite a few bucks off the price. I know when I bought mine about 5 months ago it was nearly a $200 upgrade.

They all look nice. It depends who you are selling it to.

600m - Very nice setup with battery-friendly components such as P-M, smaller screen, and integrated video. This is probably what I would want on my laptop.

The 5160 would make a nice desktop replacement laptop- but I'm afraid it would be way to heavy and not too mobile friendly when it comes to battery life. If you aren't planning on going mobile often, that would be a good choice. I would consider it... It's still a nice price, no doubt about that.

The 9200 has a nice balance of portability and gameability. It's a close tie between this and the 600m.

If you are selling- I think most people (like on ebay) are looking for low cost gaming laptops. So I would sell the 9200. But they are all nice laptops.

I have an 8600 so I'd personally go with a 9200. The vidcard in it is enough to play any game out today. Although I would change one thing on it. Get 256 Mb of ram. Save a bit of money and then buy a gig kit from Newegg. I paid 160 shipped for mine and it helps with everything from gaming to Windows to folding. Definitely worth the extra money.

i'd get the 9200 because it will *most likely* be discontinued in the near future due to the arrival of the 9300. then again, the 5160 is getting replaced by the 6000. still, i'd get the 9200, because ppl might want a cheaper alternative to the 9300 that still has a good video card.

Another vote for the 9200. For laptops only choice (if going Intel) is are Pentium M based laptops, plus has better graphics card and larger screen than the other Pentium M comp.

I don't believe that the 5160 is getting replaced by the 6000 at all; they are completely different lines of laptops.

The 5160 has the standard screen, full P4 processors, lots of power, while the 6000 is a widescreen mobile laptop, basically a widescreen 600m.

the 9700 in that 9200 is enough to play current games- i was playing half life 2 on my 9100 with a 64mb 9700. :) yes @ 848 x 6 something widescreen - but with options set to medium i can get around 40-50FPS steady with drops into the low 30's.

i would say the 9200 - who cares it he 9300 is coming out there will always be something better around the corner but the 9200 is the most powerful of them and if u dont plan to carry it around with you eery where - get it - it is heavy!

Go build one on their site. Spend 2k on it and I will sell it to you for $1600, shipped to your door.

I am not joking about not making profit, I just dont need another computer, I have two laptops already and three desktops with way little space.

I am thinking about building the XPS desktop system. Seems to run about 2k for a decent system, and they look badass. Still havent decided yet.

i think the video card in the 9200 is worth it.

that seems to be the one to get. it'll be easier to sell and while you have it you'll probably enjoy it more.

Im verry interseted in setting up some kind of deal
Let Me know exactally how this would be done so i can think about my options
The current offers do not appeal to me such as the printer or the HDD upgrade so i would probilly wait until something more appealing comes out

Let me know what's up
