well i followed the guide on softmodding and it seemed to work at first, but when i restarted my comp it didn't register as a x800xt and still only 12 pipes open, but the wierd thing is that the xt default clock speeds where now mine extactly 519/542, do i tryed to reflash and it wouldn't let me. some error came up and i can't go back to the orginal BIOS bin file.
is this normal. i didn't hear about it anywhere in the posts or guides.

you have a pci-e x800pro and you tried to flash to xt and it didnt work right? Make sure its a VIVO card. Also, try a diff bios maybe. I think there are more than one.

There are bios's for the PCI-E card. Its mentioned somewhere in the thread if not mistaken. Also if you don't have a VIVO card, your chances of it unlocking are considerably low. Also make sure your card can handle XTPE speeds prior to flashing.
Also if its not a VIVO you might need to volt mod for it to work possibably. XTPE cards run 1.4V core, vivo cards run 1.4V core, pro cards run 1.3V core.

any idea where it is? and also i tryed to go back to the orginal bios and it failed, so do you really think it will reflash to the right PCI-E xt conversion BIOS?
Check out this site. Hopefully the correct bios can be found there:
