Well I'm lookingh for a window sprogram that will sort of take pictures of the registry or perhaps log changes made to it over time so I can see what has been changed. I recall some threads aobut this but dont remember at all what they were or what the program was called. Anyone have one they recommend?

Haven't tried them, but from the websites, these look like they will do what you want.

Registry Snapshot (http://www.easydesksoftware.com/regwatch.htm) for $30.

RegSafe (http://www.imaginelan.com/regsafe/product_tour.htm) for $60.

Why don't you use the good old system restore feature in XP? Worked pretty good for me! You can create as many restore points as your HDD space permits. This is a more comprehensive way to completely rollback all your actions.

for a few reasons.

1) this is nto an XP machine, its a windows 2000 Terminal Server
2) I need to know what is changed for both tracking and repair reasons
3) It would also be nice if the program could say WHAT user made which change...
