View Full Version : VPU recovery
When I OC my CPU in bios, everything seems fine. I start windows, everthing is fine, 20-30 seconds later, windows freezes up, blacks out, flashes back with the VPU recovery pop-up.
I clock my CPU back to default and everything, everything runs fine again. WHat's going on?
please help.

How did you OC it? Does your motherboard have pci agp lock in the bios?
Is your vid card overclocked as well? Did you try disabling vpu recovery?

What's the 12v and 5v rails on your system, weak PSU could be causing this as well.
And are you sure you don't have any overclock set on the card at boot up?
my vpu is not over clocked.....

Also try setting agp to 4x and see what happens, or does not happen:)
Like what The Coolest said, check PSU...

Make sure that your not overclocking the agp slot when you ocing the cpu. It should be 66mhz.

Did you try setting to agp to 4x. what drivers do you have 5.1? Some people have more luck with the microsoft drivers and setting agp to 4x in bios...
