I'm trying to make a water block myself and dunno how, can give me some suggestions? I can't get copper blocks nor plexy glass around where I live (Israel)... So I gotta use some stuff found at home...

are you talking about puting a heatsink ontop of a flat waterblock? or using a heatsink clip to attach you water block?

K, imagine this...

A duron heatsink connected to Socket A
On top of the duron heatsink is a 486 Heatsink (which on top of that is my ghetto waterblock)

I was originally going to use the 486 heatsink only with the socket, but now I realize it might be pushing my luck, and if the heatsink doesn't touch the core or somethin, it might really screw me up.

well, picture that in your mind. What I'm ondering is how effective will this be? Will I lose heat? (prolly not) gain heat? (prolly yes), how much (hopefully not alot)

waidda minute

TWO heat sinks?

and THEN a waterblock?

man, ditch the heatsinks. you're gonna loose buku efficiency and i seriously doubt you'll even notice the effects of your waterblock.

as for fastening it... i dunno. lets see some pics. we have NO idea what you're doing except you've built this shampoo bottle waterblock thingy...

we're gonna need more info if we can help you.
