WOW. MUCH more expensive than the $300 MSRP :(.

If the XL is that expensive then I may as well buy a 6800GT PCI-E and haev the option of going SLI later.

$299 if you order it from ATI when they become available in 2-3 weeks.

Where did you read that? I can't find that information anywhere on ATI's site.

haha, no no, i know they are coming out. I'm more shocked at th eidea that zzf is selling them. I'm wondering if this is an actual sale or a gimmic, if they're actually selling the X850XT then I'm about to buy it

Radical

It looks real to me, I don't know why it wouldn't be. ZZF is a reputable site so I'm not sure what you're worrying about.

the x800xl should be $299, wait for supplies to become plentiful

They're price gaging. Wait a while & it'll drop in price.

What part of "when they become available" didn't you understand lol. They are not shown in the
ATI store yet because they are not available just yet. When they are they will have a MSPR of
$299.

You could preoder the x800XL awhile ago, w/ a 20% off coupon, so for $240. I posted in the deals section as soon as I heard about it :)

But people who ordered have called ati and they said 2nd or 3rd week of feb. So, he is right.....

YoMatta
01-29-05, 11:13 PM
so would this be a pre-order? i'm just hesitant to commit with a credit card or something then have them tell me "we'll ship it in 3 weeks"... that just won't work for me

Wow the price on the x850XT isnt bad at all. That would actually be something I'd consider buying now.

isnt the x850xt at least $550? thats almost twice the x800xl

Considering that they are starting to not price gouge it as badly. Its not such a bad deal anymore

As it turns out the 20% off thing wasn't supposed to go the general public and that is why it
was pulled so fast. The 20% off was an offer ATI made to people who had outstanding orders
for x800XT-PE cards when ATI up and canceled them all earlier in the week (including mine lol).

Actually if you look around real hard you can find BbATI Retail Box x850XT-PE's for under $500.
The only hitch is ATI isn't shipping them yet either. Sounds very familiar doesn't it !!!

Yea, I noticed when I put in the code it said "X800 Cancellation", and I laughed. I'm REALLY glad I didn't wait for them to come back in stock! whew :)

Yeah it was really big of ATI lol. After stringing you along for months with repeated delays
then telling you at the end of December that all existing orders for X800XT-PE's would be "for
sure" filled before the end of January '05 and "definately not" canceled they up and cancel
them anyway. In return for screwing with you for months thay offer a nice discount on a
card that can't be used in your existing AGP motherboard lol.

btw, wtf is up w/ a 1 year warrenty? Do they really not have that much faith in there products?

eVGA has got 5 year warrenties! Now that helps reasure a person when spending 500+ on a videocard...

Sapphire has always had a 1 year warranty on their cards. BbATI Retail Box has 3 years.

i would have guessed it more along the lines of the moment they slide the bar up that starts upping their clock speeds and effectively voiding their warranty.....

iLLestOne
01-31-05, 12:22 AM
But w/ these new cards, you can just let Overdrive3 do that for u, w/ no warrenties being broke.......

And to me, it just shows lack of faith in ur product. A lot of us have 2nd rigs that get our old vidcards, and would like to have the safetly of a 3-5 year warrenty....but companies will pinch a penny wherever they can these days I guess...

hey viper, so these aren't shipping yet? as in if I order will I get a "will receive in 3-4 weeks" or will I actually receive it now? if i can get it now I'm buying it, the $520 is too good to pass up and forget the 1-yr warranty, I guarantee it will be void by then.

The Sapphire cards are in stock and shipping. The BbATI Retail box x850XT-PE's are "supposed"
to be 1-2 weeks with the key word being "supposed" lol.

I contacted ATI a while ago and they are saying 2/21/05 on the x800XL retail box cards. We will see lol.

Sapphire shows they make both a x850xt and a x850xt-pe....
