I have an easy solution for people who want their pump to turn on when they power up the computer............ first go into power managment in the bios and set the state after a power failure to "ON", now buy a UPS with at least two plugs on the back, plug a power strip into one and the pump into the other, plug all of your computer periphrials and the PC itself into the powerstrip, after shuting the computer down for the evening, turn off the ups by the switch on the ups, when you turn on the ups in the morning everything will turn on, pump included. and you didn't have to strip any wires or solder in any relays..........
