I just spoke with a gentleman at Jaton about my TNT2M64 card locking up with my new iWill KK266+R and 1.2GHz Athlon, and he said flat out the video card had never been tested with processors that fast and probably would not work well. I can vouch for that. So it's not so much a flaw with my particular card as it is an old dog and a new trick. So, a warning to all users. If you are going to go for the gold, spend the bux and get the new video, too. I'm going to get that Radeon VIVO 64 after all, and leave the TNT2 to my old 400MHz system. Ever see "Mr. Blandings Builds His Dream House"? That movie should be required viewing for anyone who even hints that they're thinking of upgrading their computers. Believe it.

LOL i Had never heard of that, I know it worked with my old PIII 733. But I also know that the M64 is a crummy card all around! Eewwpphh I can still remember the 3dMark2000 Score.......956....

You got the score up that high, huh? Pfeh, I've been fiddling with the video so much I haven't had the time to play with o/c. I thought there was something wrong with a 660 score. Now, the only question is, do I get the Radeon VIVO 64 for $152, or the AIW Radeon for $159, or do I wait for the AIW Radeon 8500DV for $419? Oh, decisions, decisions! I'm not so much a game fanatic as a video fanatic, and being able to record multiple channels simultaneously onto the hd is very attractive. Less now or more later? Do I NEED the firewire and wireless connection? I suppose I could just save the 8500DV for a m/p video system. Yes, that makes more sense.

My god! $419 for the 8500? Man, and I really want that card when it's available.

Yeah. ENPC.com is the only place that has a pre-order price for the AIW 8500DV. NewEgg.com has the 7500 and 8500 for pre-order but not the AIW.

Finally got a solution for my TNT2 problem: run the 100MHz FSB, kick the CPU to 12x, and run the RAM at HCLK+33 so the RAM is running 133 but the PCI is only running 33. Running three hours or so with no lockups. Oh well, gee, now I don't HAVE to get that new video card after all. Guess I'll send the money to the Red Cross. Yeah, that's not a bad idea, actually.
