Hey guys, hope this is the right spot for this...
I have a crappy sis Xabre400..i hate it. i need to upgrade it but lack the funds. Anyways, driver version 3.10.57 was alright, but i loved its driver mode settings, it allowed for hotplugging TVs, CRTs, LCDs, etc..and you could switch right over to them. Version 3.10.58, requires a reboot every friggen time, just like the old drivers did. what a PITA.
So i tried mixing the old video mode driver dll w. the new ones, and it just simply doesnt work..
over on the xabre forums (which i can no longer get into for some stupid srever error) there was a hack where you could take the openGL driver from an XGI card, rename it from xgigl.dll to sisgl.dll and you had opengl 1.4...or something it wasnt suposed to support.
So what i was THINKING of doing, was rolling back to 3.10.57, and then just taking the drivers for opengl, direct3d, and such from 3.10.58 ...so i could have the much improved settings and ease from .57 but the support from .58...anyone see why this wouldnt work?
Also, do your normal cards require a reboot just to move it to TV? In linux its hotswappable, i love it, but no opengl sadly.
Thanks in advance guys.
