Well, I've finally done it. I've overclocked my PII333 to 500 MHz! (5X100). My temps are currently 22C idle. I'm using the standard HSF on the PII, the cpu case is still intact. The cover is off my computer case, and i've got a small 6" fan blowing air directly onto the Processor/VidCard. It's on a DFI P2XBL mobo.

I've heard of some 333s being unlocked, or unlockable. Is there anything I should do to unlock it? Changing the multiplier switches on the board does nothing. I'd like to try this baby out at 133 FSB, but i don't think it'll make it with a 5X multiplier.

Thanks in advance for any advice.

The last pentium chips, beside factory test chips, to be unlocked were in the 233mhz range. Never heard of your chip being unlocked.

p2 is 66 fsb chip remember. all he did was set the fsb to 100. the multiplier on the chip is 5. 333x100/66=500mhz
