need cheap LCD [Archive] - Overclockers Forums

Anybody know of any good sub $200 17" or larger LCD monitors? I don't need anything fancy, even a DaeWoo would do. I'd rather not deal with rebates, because I have BAD luck with those.

Any opinions on these?

yeah...don't count on getting your rebate...I wouldn't deal with the company out of principle as well.

both those monitors look okay for web and e-mail use but if you want a gaming lcd with fast response time then I suggest looking at this samsung:

I have the LCD that Daewood listed and it's excellent. Definitely spend a few extra bucks for a high quality monitor. Like he said, if you are a gamer, then look for one that has 12ms response time.
