Problem w/ SP2 and UT2004 (not the NX-bit)

I was recently having major problems with my system and running UT2004 and Halo.... for some reason after only a few mins of play, the system would crash to a BSOD and reboot. I tried a few things to no avail and eventually just formatted and re-installed... Does anyone know if there is an issue with SP2 and games like UT2004 and Halo? I know they run on different engines, but I'm just wondering if there is a conflict BEFORE I install SP2... Thanx

Havent heard anything besides the versions of Forceware prior to the 71xx seemed to have the most trouble with SP2. I run the 69xx drivers and dont have any problems...also heard talk about a DX9c conflict but Im not sure where that ended up...you could try DX9b.

the 7x drivers will fix this issue for you.

the fix for it when using 6x drivers involves disabling DEP in your boot.ini. im not quite sure on the details.
