Hey, im planing to buy a neo2 and 3200+ 939 , 3200 PDP TCCD memory and i want to know does anyone know the timings for the thing for like the maxium overclock like i want to try to hit like 270 or 280 or 265 with a multiper of x10 and with a xp-120 for cooling does anyone know if they have hit this with pdp tccd memory and a 3200+ and what timings they had, thanks guys

You should beable to hit 2-2-2-10 at 270x4HTT/(333/400), i dont think that the PDP will go 270 1:1 so you will likely have to set it to 400/333 in the bios.

the ram would do 280mhz 1:1 no problem, but you are expecting too much out of your cpu, even 265x10 might be asking for too much

you think i should try 265 x 10 would be too much?? well i just really want to use dividers that just the reason dont want to slow my down my ram alot, i want to have like it equal, i might even have the wrong idea of dividers

I wouldnt say that...I can run my 3200 winnie at 10x275...2.78Ghz is the max my 3200 will run stable...

I have seen a lot of the newer ones run even better then mine...

yes i know, but i don't want him to expect too much and be dissappointed, its nowhere near a guaranty that he will get that high, i've seen newer 3200+ that can barely hit 2.6ghz

i don't mean too much for the ram, i meant the cpu... avoid using dividers if possible, thats one of the main reasons to get a 3200+ instead of a 3000+ and TCCD ram instead of less than great OCing ram

ya im trying my best to get some money like around 60 more bucks i believe so i can buy the 3200+ 939 off zipzoomfly so i wont have to use dividers but dont worry i just want to know facts like 260 x 10 would be alright but i might be a little disapointed i just want to hit something high so people will goo ooooooo aaaaaaaaa, like i just want to know is it possible to hit 270 x 10 or 275 x 10 if im hearing that i can't even do that b/c my processor is too weak imthinkg why not go for a lower multiper if they both are the same but different b/c one has a higher multiper, so i would try then 275 x 9

It is totally possible...

It's alwasy good to hope for 2.6 or so...that way when/if you hit 2.7+Ghz...you are very happy then...

nice overclock see if i just got that i would be greatful btw whatkind of cooling you pushing ur processor with and whats ur processors voltage?

XP 90 w/92mm Tornado

And for 2.7Ghz to be 100% stable I have to run 1.5v...but I usally run at 2.78Ghz (10x278) at 1.63 - 1.65v.

hm...... would a xp-120 cool the procc alot better? and why are you running alot higher voltage when ur only doing 80 mhz more?

I have same Heatsink with a silentcat fan, what would you say would be a safe voltage for the 3200 winnie,I dont want to push it to the maximum but would like a lil extra.currently have 2400 on default vcore stable but my memory is at 200(crappy stuff)
what are your load temps?mine are 50 in prime torture test at default
also what bios you running?

I am not too worried about total cpu clocks, id worry more about your ondie controller. also stability gradually diminishes as you reach the ondie's limits, I can do 262x9 on mine but its not 100% stable, I havent really found its limit but id say 250-255 is where its at. 266 is less than 50% stable. I say you can hit 250x10, thats a reasonable goal. If you cant get at least that you could sell the winchester for another. you might wanna just buy a 3000+ they are like $70 cheaper and besides, Venice is comming soon, dont blow all your $ on a winny. I paid $160 for my 3000+ retail and its fast as heck even at 250x9 and I bench at 262x9, week 37 so your newer week may do even better, maybe 266x9=2.4GHz stable

glock19owner is running his close to 280, is your chip not as good as his? maybe it's an earlier version of the chip?

i havn't bought it yet but im thinking of what he said to save like 70 bucks is a smart thing to do which i think ill have to do b/c i have i limit of 450-500 max, for a case mobo cpu and memory

I can run mine up to 2.6GHz but I value stability over high clocks, I do not want my games crashing when im about to defeat a major boss. Besides, id need to run my ram async if I want to get over 2.3GHz(255x9) and the loss of ram bandwith nearly cancels out what I get at higher cpu clocks so ill just leave it at 255 or even 250fsb. I could always grab another winny but prices are too high for me to bother plus id rather save for a venice instead, my oced winny should run games smooth for like 18 months, hopefully I upgrade in less

I honestly wouldnt run a winnie past 1.65v on air...

As for temps...idle's between 35 - 38c and max is usally never past 45...finally did see it hit 49c yesterday...but the case temps was also around 31c...way to hot for my case temps...the case temps are usally between 18 and 21c...

I am using the 1.36MOD bios so I can have those extra voltage when running past 2.75Ghz...no matter what I set it too after 1.475v and 10% over it will never go over 1.6v...with the 1.36MOD the extra 13 - 18.8% overvoltage options actually work...this is how I can get 1.65v now...

ya since im probably getting a 3000+ i think ill just get to like 2.4 ghz with no asynch or even higher dunno im getting (2) PDP with XBL thats Tccd Memory

If going with the 3000...then you might give the LA's a second thought...the 3000's have a better chance at running 300+FSB/HT then the 3200 and 3500's do...with the LA's...gauranteed 300FSB/HT since they are DDR600 rated...

i was able to reach 285mhz with my PDPs, im sure you'll do 2.5ghz no problem

What timings and voltage?
