ayhja "9" at 1.53 want more

i just got a 1.4 ayhja "9" today, and got it up to 1.53 @1.85 and it runs like a champ. i tried for 1.6 and it ran for about 30min before it crashed while i was playing a game. in both cases the temp under full load is about 56c and 46c at idle. should i just wait a bit and try again after i have had it for a while, or is there some other trick. thanks for the help. one more thing, the L1s were already connected...is that standard for all 1.4s, or is it a newer thing?

The L1s are connected on most 1.4GHz Athlons.

Sounds like you need to find a Vcore mod for your motherboard to me. Also might want to try to get the CPU temps a little lower, I reccomend watercooling, but that might be a little pricey for your budget.

Temps are on the high side. You probably need more juice to run higher clockspeed & with an increase to the core voltage you will get more heat.

Cool that chip off and it will do alot better, i just got my AHYJA 9 today also, and it is at 1530 (153x10) and running fine at stock voltage. But my idle temp is 36c and my load is 39.5c

still thats all good guys, but i have yet to up the vcore, the memvotage, and its on a 250watt max PS. I am waiting for my 400watter. Then ill raise the core up from 1.75 (1.92 is max) and raise mem voltage from 2.5v (3.5 is max). Then we will talk, LOL:D

i have a sk-6 with a delta 30cfm fan, and i use arctic silver 2. is it possible my mobo displays temps wrong? check the sig.

You got a AYHJA 9? That's a bummer because the AYHJA Y chips O/C better.
