I just read a bit about that heatsink, it seems ok. What processor u running though? it seems to be able to keep a tbird 900 @ 1100 below 50 celsius, just. most people here dont like temps much above 50 celsius at full load......
I will be running a Amd 1.33 t-bird make C. I mean if it's no good, tell me. I will just get the thermalright sk6.

the SK6 is a better heatsink.... i dont think the WBK38 would like a 1.33 GHZ tbird all that much..... it would probably be ok but everyone here are temperature paranoid! i have a friend running a 1.2 GHZ tbird at 60celsius full load and its perfectly stable, just it probably will die quicker than one at a lower temp.
can you get your money back on the WBK38? if not you could always use it for something else if u decide to get an SK6.
Yeah I think I can return it. I was trying not to spend 40 bucks on a heatsink though. But if I must, I must

SK6 shouldnt be over $40 ..... its £33 here with a delta fan on it, and one thing i've learned is in the USA its usually the same in $ as it is here in £, so its a fair bit cheaper over there.... if u dont want to spend that much, there are several that are good for less money, thermo engine is one, CAK38 (big brother to the WBK38) and there is a vantek one, cant remember its proper name, but my brother has ordered one for his new PC

not to put you off, but it is not that good after all consist you only just slightly move your cpuz ass:D

that is actually the fault of my motherboard. It only allows me to up the FSB... Which is useless to an overclocker.
The CAK cooled my 1.3 athlon@1.5 without any problem.
That was on an Epox Motherboard

but why would you ever buy that m/b if u have the epox one any way, oh well, maybe u were out of cash;).
by the way i am not saying that your overclcoking is crap  , but just at 1240, i can easily get lower temp than that with my coolermaster fan, which i think itz suprrising coz everyone hate coolermaster here, dunno y.....

My Gigabyte mobo ain't brilliant but it does the job for a little overclocking, You must have been lucky with that coolermaster fan...
Thinking of coolermaster HSFs I built a new pc for a friend of mine hers had a coolermaster fan on it and the CPU temp at full load was 40C that was an Athlon 850MHz.

new update!!!:o
with my current coolermster fan, and plus two new 80 mm case fans, i am able to get round 46-47 at idle with cpucool @ 1.48ghz (148*10), not too bad hey;), but it frezes in load window with i raise the mutiple set, any idea why? i've just raise the Vcore from 1.84 to 1.94, how far do you people think i can do with just the FSB, i am not sure wether i am using the Legend DDR ram or Hyundai Ram, coz the white label says legend but the actual ram says hyundai, mm... weird stuff.
anyway, any help would be appricate, and er... why don't you people just give that coolermaster fan i am using now a go, coz i just love:rolleyes: even though i am ordering a MG :D
