Are Ram Idle a worth the tweaks?

If you have programs with memory leaks then yes.

I have used MaxMem and found it work well. Simple installation and its free.

I like RAM Idle. It doesnt speed things up noticably, but its nice to see how much RAM is free.

I am using ram idle now cause i think it is better.
