Too Much Heat

I just bought a new CPU cooler, a Zalman 5001 to replace my ALpha FC.pal/ys tech. However things have gotten worse, I cannot o/c it anymore, hangs all the time. Idle/full load temps 55/70 degrees Celcius.

Could I be doing something wrong here? I am using Artic silver.

is that the one that looks like a giant copper fan ?? (not a rotating one, one like they had years ago) i read a review on it, it looks absolutely awesome, but is not all that good as a cooler...... zalman also do a circular cooler dont they? same deal looks good performance kinda lacking
