Is this done the same way a T-Bird is unlocked by connecting the L1 bridges? I'm expecting my cpu to be here today and want to get that done right away.

Also to up the voltage is it the L7 bridges. And which ones to close for what voltage you want.

Never mind about the voltage thing. I found this at Toms hardware.

Yup same thing. Does anyone take the time to read the articles on the site?

Yes I do normally read the articles. But sometimes I don't have the time. I'm only human :). I apoligize for posting a question before I read the article. I had to leave for work and thought it would be nice to have an answer when I got home so I could install the cpu right away. I don't see any reason why you should be mad about that. After all that's what this forum is here for.

Well I got my Duron 700 yesterday and threw it in. First I unlocked it then I closed all the L7 bridges to get 1.85 voltage. I set the multiplier to 7.5 and FSB to 133, 1000mhz!. Booted up perfectly. But after running for a while it starts crashing and locking up. Heat realated of course. I think tonight When I've got time I'm gonna pull the chip out and drop the voltage down a notch or two and see how it runs.

It's a "AKBA0023GPCW" code. From what I've read the AKBA's are supposed to be pretty good. Maybe I got lucky.

umm yea
i think i've heard that "AKBA0023GPCW" o/c quite well
try getting more than 1ghz !!
haha...
but 2 tell the truth, most durons can only o/c to abt 1ghz or 1.1

except the duron 1ghz which has got a different chipset:cool:
