why is over heated?

my 1.2 @ 1.4 have been running around at 40C the last whole weeks, and until yesterday, i decided i want to be gready and try to o/c it from 10 to 10.5, which doesn't work, even freeze in bios.
but right that, from now on my temperature have in crease 10C full load, why is that heppening?
by the way, can anybody give me a link to d/l this lower cpu temp program? what is the best one? i got cpu cool and cpu idle myself, and i heard there is another good one call something like "Vc something".
any help would be appricate :)

did you increased the Cpu Voltage when you raised teh multyplier and pherhaps forgot to bring it down again when you set it at 10X again? and if not just check it out and make sure that the voltage is not set up too high!

um... it sound pretty resaonable if i do have the gut to touch the Vcore at all which i dun. so...er no... i dun think this would be the cause, any other ideaz?:(
