Transfering steam hL2...

Hey someone wants to sell me they're HL2 that was bought on steam.....can they just tell me they're password and I'm good to go? Can I change my name on countrstrike servers still then?

If they bought it on steam, you would have to be logged in on their steam account that they bought hl2 on. They wouldn't be able to be logged in on their account.

Go buy it on ebay or from Frys. cheap and you can have your own account

Or you can go to local stores and pick it up for a few bucks. Been seeing adds for $30-35 for the game now.

well it's part of a trade.....but if they gave me thier steam account name and password, I could log on, change the password and DL HL2 and CS: source correct?
