I was changing out the coolent in my Ninja yesterday because it really needed it. So I asked the guy at the motorcycle shop "can I just use the coolent that I can get to go into my car?" He said "NO WAY!!!" You don't want to use that stuff cuz it will corrode and eat away the aluminum, you need to get this $8.95 two quart bottle of special coolent.

So I just thought that I would bring this to your guys attention that use water rigs and have an aluminum block and running automotive coolent. Just goto any motorcycle shop and get a bottle of motorcycle engine coolent.

Oh yeah the stuff already comes premixed!!

Cool on

Yup! certain kinds of coolants can destroy aluminium components & copper as well. The people that use peltiers & have to go with antifreeze should also take note that most antifreeze products have minute particles that are known to break water pumps on cars so they can easily destroy watercooling systems in a shorter period of time.
