Battery drained to 0 now laptop wont boot even with AC adapter plugged in!

Just like the post says, what can i do here? I know the ac works, and the battery has held a charge nicely for 2 hours - it is drained to 0 now though+ so both of those work, what can i do to start the computer? again ?

Could try resetting the bios; on many laptops, you take the battery out, unplug the AC adapter, and hold down the power button for 20-30 seconds. Then put the battery in and plug the AC adapter in, and see if it boots.

ok its actually not my laptop (p4 1.7ghz 256mb of ram compaq laptop) anymore i sold it and the buyer is asking me for tech support.. heh.. i bought it for 500, sold it for 600 on craigslist, then bought a 2.8 p4 dell inspiron for 700!
