The temps Im running on my are 55idle and high 60's to mid 70's load!!! My 3.2e cpu idle is 30c and load is 38c and is overclocked at 3.6ghz and the card is stock evga(425/1100) w/auto overclocking enabled.
Are the temps too high for my card?? I have an NV68 block from Danger Den. I have asked people about it and they said that it might not be mounted properly. I have remounted it 3 or 4 times today so far...One of the times I had remounted the card the temps were all the way up to 72c on idle!!!

yes those temps are way too high... if your cpu temps are good than your rad is fine so it kinda has to be the block mount. are you getting good contact with the core?

I have tried to reset my block a few times and the as5 seems to be on ok. someone told me to remove the shim around the gpu. Do i need to do this....and if so how can this be done???
I have also removed the block to inspect to see if it is manufactured true and it seems to be. The as5 seems to have a good imprint but not as good as I would like to see.
The card is on the normal bottom side of the case.
The pump is setting next to the card on the bottom of the case, the water goes direct from the pump to the card... then to the cpu then... into the radiator and to the res. and back to the pump.

The as5 makes a pretty good square mark on the block, but the marks from the ram are much better looking it seems as though the ram gets tight and the gpu does not.... I have looked at the DD instructions quite a few times. (followed word for word)

reset my block again....tightened down alot more then before with new artic silver ceramic and it stays at 55 idle and 58 load while playing hl2...not the best but a great improvement!!!
I'll try again later to try and improve the temps was hoping for mid 40's or lower, but what do you expect.
Any suggestions???
