Forgive me if this question has been asked before. I cant seem to get the search function to work even after upgrading to Firefox. Google search has also failed me.

Is it possible to set up a ram drive under XP large enough to load a game into? Im thinking if you had four gigs of ram and allocated three of them to a ram drive you could install a game like battlefield into it and load all the maps before everyone else's monitors can even change resolutions. As far as I can tell, the max size ram drive XP will support is 32 megs; not large enough to do anything like this. Surely someone has created third party ram drive support? Thanks in advance.

Many have tried but few have got this to work. I tried this a long time ago and figured it can be done but was way too hard to get it working unless you are doing a project or something.

Jigpu of this forum uses a RAM drive something like the sort you are wondering about, so you might find he could have some advise for you... Other than that, you might check out these threads - the last link is best for you:
