I went to compusa. Bought a 6600GT AGP card. Was very happy at that point. It was 249 Plus 44 bucks for 2 year no questions asked Replacement. Went down staires to Circuit city. saw a 6800NU for 249, This included a 50 dollar rebate, And the 2 year Replacement was Only 20 bucks!
So I ended up with the 6800NU for less than the GT. Was this a good choice?
Biggest reason for the 6800NU choice was (now dont get me wrong Ive been out of the Nvidia loop awhile) More Pipes, and 256bit memory , Where the 6600GT Has 128bit and less pipes. Am I right here?
Just want some reassurences i chose wisely, This was a big purchase i really didnt have the money to make.
A quick answer would be Great.
PS, I Know i can Flash, But i have no idea about if i need to Up the voltage in the new GT bios or not, plus Memory speeds. Thats questions for another day.
PS, I got rid of a 9800Pro to get this. Hope it was a good choice also.
