fan voltage on ATI Silencer 4

Has anyone modded the fan on the ati silencer and used the 12v line? i was wondering about performance and noised levels..

I was thinkgin about hooking that fan to my fan controller for when i play games and bench at 12v.....5v if i wanna sleep :)

if anyoen has done this ide aprciate input.

i dont care about rpm monitering in the ATI tool or anyhting....

what card/core is it? does it have temp monitoring on it as i would be worried of overheating if i couldnt montor temps

its the x800xtpe.....and it shouldnt alter the temp monitering...i think
