Well, I finaly got my Ati Radeon 64 Sdram back for its RMA trip..(ATI has great tech support!)..and while it was gone I upgraded to Windows 2000 Professional With a voodoo2 card. Now I have The ATI Radeon and removed the voodoo2 completely ( i belive) from the registry and the drivers. I got the latest drivers from the ATI website as well. Now my problem is that I cant run any of my games that use direct x, they run really freaking slow...so slow i cant stand it! Another odd thing is that 3dmark 2000 runs fine even though i only score 2316, (1024x786x32x32textures)I know why, 550 mhz slot a athlon..gota get a new board for my 1 gig athlon...Anyway I can run opengl fine...runs smooth..but I can be in the middle of a game such as tribes 2 carrying the flag back to home base when all of the sudden the monitor cutz off....odd huh?...Or like today the monitor cut off then cut back on and displayed a fliggering image of the game..a still image that is...
DVDs run great... But this monitor cutting of is geting annoying...
Anybody have any ideas?

Also teh stock speed for this sucker is ony 155mhz..what would it make it to? I am using Powerstrip right now...radeon tweaker is d./ling as i type....

Well, you probably don't have everything removed from your V2. There's probably something lurking around in the registry or elsewhere. Also, do you have the latest DX version? I believe that it is 8.0a or something.

As for overclocking, w/ 155, you *might* be able to squeeze 200 out of it, but keep the clocks synchronous. Radeon's don't like to be run asynchronous. It can be done, but they don't like it.

Is your overclock synchronous? this is key, mem and core need to be the same speed when overclocking.

I used these drivers (http://speshalk.dyndns.org:18012/programs/RADEON%20drivers/w2k-753-010409x.exe) with XP and it runs great.

I havent even started overclocking yet...
Dont want to till i get these bugz worked out...

I have tried the drivers for Ati.com and rage3d (third party)
I will try those and see what happens..im getting sick of my monitor cutting off on me in the middle of a flag capture!
And Direct x 8 is still very slow....Opengl is fine...
