Hi,
Im having odd problems with my overclock. My computer is:
P4 3.2E EO SL7Pn@ 3.841ghz (cooled by H2O)
ASUS P4C800e DLX Rev. 2
2x512mb OCZ PC3700 Gold Rev. 2
I recently upgraded processor from a 2.8C to a 3.2E EO SL7PN. I was able to run 1:1 with my 2.8C and I seem to not have the likewise success with my pressy. My fsb is currently 240mhz. Vcore and DRAM frequency are set to auto. I set the vdimm voltage at 2.85v. With these settings my cpu was able to successfully pass memtest 86 Rev.2 and prime 95.
My problem is this: When I have my DRAM Frequency set to 400 and manually raise vcore to 1.4 and 1.45 manually and with fsb set to 240 I get errors in prime 95 in a few minutes and get a few errors in test #7 with memtest 86 Rev. 3.2. Some times my computer will even reboot.
I have my memory settings at 2.5-3-3-7 and dram burst set to 8.
Why am I unable to run 1:1 (DRAM Frequency set to 400) at 240fsb settings with this processor. Is there something wrong with this ram, settings, or could it be my powersupply due to pressys draw more voltage than a northy? The lowest my rail ever went in asus probe was 11.98 and fluctuates very seldom. My temperature is only 33-35 degrees celsius.
