View Full Version : Hello!
Heh, been another bit since my last post...I've just decided today to dump SetiClassic and transfer over to Boinc, just did the account activation thing to transfer over.
Going to install Boinc on my 3 rigs, and then see how long it takes to pull work.
*cheers*
*edit*
Can't complain, over only using 3 rigs max the past 3 years, though I've been a seti member for nearly 4 now, I've done 14.1k units, and have placed myself in 92nd place on the team. Now to get crawling up the Boinc stats.

Only sad part about boinc is the long delay between your submission of Wu and the credit you earn. It takes a while to get use to it. Welcome to the Boinc team!
Welcome to the team, its good to have you back !
Our boinc team is getting bigger and bigger :burn:
Happy Boincinng GT2000 :)
Thank ya thank ya, yeah, I remember how that worked from playing with the beta a while back, the only thing now is with Berkeley's recent failed upgrades, I'll be waiting a bit to start crunching.
Yea, slow going right now as they switch things over. It's as bad as it was when they first started. One thing about BOINC is the numbers climb a lot faster than with the classic.
Yep, as I've noticed with the team stats, I've gotten a couple units, maybe 3 completed, and a unit or two backstocked, curious to see how the numbers steadily climb once the validation servers get back on track.

Question? When you transfer over do you bring your points for WU with you?

No, not at this time. They do "acknowledge" your classic WU's, but they don't convert them into credit. If they did, i'd probably be about #158 on the team ;)

When you transfer over, under your account it lists your Classic WU count separately. This doesn't count towards your BOINC SETI credits.
