that card is slower than a radeon 9600pro, the 5700 LE is rated for 250/400 the pro is rated for 400/600, i believe the 9600pro is 100 dollars at newegg.

The reason that i'm comparing the 2 is because they both have 4 pipelines, and DX9, they are essentially the same except for the different clock.

This card is not 256-bit. The 5700LE has a LOT of overclocking headroom, at least on the core that it shares with the 5700 ultra. Nvidia had to get rid of all of the 5700 cores when they came out with the geforce 6 series, so they made these cheaper cards with the same cores.

Regarding the 256 bit question on both of the sites below they say it has a 256-bit graphics core and 128-bit DDR memory interface so how would this card be classified? It also has a 500MHz memory data rate so I guess PNY have overclocked it a little themselves?

Thanks for the help

It would be classified as false. You *CANT* have a 256bit core. The birate refers to the memory only. It IS 128bit and 128bit = teh suck.

Personally I wouldnt bother. For not even $50 more you can get a real card...the 6600GT which is about 4X as fast as the 5700LE.

The game I play most Online is Crimson Skies a game that is about 4 years old
Yeah I know a wee bit behind the times but we have a fun team and league.
Anything above the FX series will not run this game for some reason. It does run however on all the Radeon cards. Thanks all for the feedback
