outlook express

How do you keep from the email from previewing in Outlook Express. Like I will enter Outlook express and then click on inbox. Right when I click on inbox the first message is already opened. I don't have the option of deleting it before opening it. HOw do you change this?

Safer not using Outlook, esp with the latest virus going about....

yeah i know what you're saying, i use hotmail but use it through outlook. i think i'll be stopping that due to the latest viruses

if you have norton it checks your mail before it gets to your inbox so its pretty safe.
