View Full Version : Is there a performance increase from ATA100 to ATA133
I am sure there is a simple answer for this, but I have been searching the forums and i have not found it.
I have a adaptec 1200a ATA100 IDE controler card
My HDs are ATA133
Is there a performance difference if I got a ATA133 IDE controler?
BTW they are running RAID 1
Thanks
Rob

you "may" notice a very very slight increase in burst speed.
wouldn't be worth getting a new controller though, imo.

actually, no, your not going to notice much unless you plan on doing high volume data transfer.
