I was playing around with the DRAM Burst Length option on my motherboard and decided to compare a Burst Length of 4 vs. a Burst Length of 8 using the Video Stress Test. I ran each test twice and took the second reading. Test system is the one in my sig. Here are the results:

DRAM Burst Length 4 = 75.52FPS
DRAM Burst Length 8 = 61.49FPS

What a difference! I thought a Burst Length of 8 would perform better because of this explanation.

Also, could someone else do this test on an AMD 64 rig? I would really like to see if it makes a difference.

EDIT: Forgot to mention that the Video Stress Test is running at max settings, AAx2/AFx4.

Didn't your data show that it did work better/Higher FPS or did you miss type them.

OH YEAH! Yes I did type them wrongly! :bang head

It's suppose to be...

DRAM Burst Length 4 = 75
DRAM Burst Length 8 = 61

Will edit the first post.
