Sound off if you've got the test demo. Maybe we'll wind up with an overclockers.com battle.
btw how do you get the sniper scope to work w/ the rifle?
I've got it, but I don't know how the hell to play it.
I'll admit I haven't doped out the whole thing myself but the concept behind this test version is you can't play against the machine. You have to play against other player over the internet so you have to go to the multiplayer section, find a game to enter from the list provided and then play against others. You can't launch the single player mode.

i got it. to zoom, press your alternate fire button (mine is right-click aka mouse2)...to change ur level of magnification...i think default is - or = (bind keys to "zoomin" and "zoomout")

I've got it, but it's just TFC, using the Q3 engine, set in WW2.
And seeing as how I can't stand playing TFC... well. :rolleyes:

How do you use the guns in the bunkers. I have tried everything right click and all other things in config that look like they may be something close to getting the gun to work but nothing.
Position yourself so that ghostly hand is reaching out for the gun then hit your left Ctrl key. You have to be standing in the exact position for it to work. You must be directly behind the gun, not to the side too much, and close enough to grip the back or the gun without reaching too far forward but far enough back so you aren't right on top of it either.
What name do you use? Maybe we've met on the field of battle. I've been on many of the different test sites.

Haven't found a working server yet. 0 are listed
None are listed? I've got a whole snotfull to choose from. And don't ask how much is a snotfull, it metric, I'm Canadian. Is this just recent or have you had this problem before? I'm gonna step out and see what I get.
I had a whole list of choices, a few were full, a few I couldn't connect with but in less than 6 tries I did get connected to one of them.

Yea that as it I had it set wrong it was the first time I had even been able to run it sometimes even the easiest things seems so hard lol :)

It's a good idea to download gamespy arcade, it finds a bunch of good servers and you can launch the game from there. It also remembers your favorites, etc.
Wolfie is NOT teamfortress!! If you haven't noticed the classes only have subtle differences, so it makes it easier to get into and also work as teams. It's an awesome game, I would recommend anyone who hasn't tried it to go out and get it...

I am a huge TFC fan, been playing since the days of TF and quakeworld. To me TFC is the only real team based game there is because all others still have an every man for himself strategy. In TFC the team who wins is the one who worked as a team the best. Anyhow I've played Q3F and UTF and they just suck. TFC is getting dated (there is only so much detail in an engine from 1998) and TF2 shows no signs of being released anytime soon. Enter WOLFENSTEIN! damn this game is cool. I'm sure the single player part will be great but I will buying for the online capabilities. I have been playing it for 6 days straight and I'm addicted. It is the best simulator of war that I have seen yet, It makes you feel just like you do when you watch them storm the beach in Private Ryan. So many strategies, So realistic sounds and visuals, Such good teamplay. It really teaches you how many possibilies there are in a battle. :p

help You have enough video memory according to the readme files. What speed is your card? I assume it's AGP but is it X1, X2 or X4? Also do you always have choppiness with the game? I have choppiness when there are too many people in the game (20+ each side) and my internet connection sometimes cuts out intermittently (not on my end I hope) which makes things bad but a warning will pop up if that's the problem.

the whole game is choppy as soon as it loads. Everything is sllllllllow. Like the mouse moving from one side to the other of the screen. Sloooooooow as heck.
maybe the card bites to hard for this game.
i'm on cable modem.

ahhh.... wolfenstein.... its just too good.
Don't know what to tell you. I don't have that card. Sorry. See if you can borrow someone elses AGP X4 card (yeah right!) and try it then. That way you'd know if your vid card is the culprit.

if you have a firewall up you cant get any servers to list in there, well its like that with zonealarm, so i have to shut it off when i play. i love that game and the sniping in it is just very realistic,
i like the fact that you have to sit for a min b4 you can get a good shot. if someone who play and has a better comp/conn than me im sure an overclockers server would be a great thing :)

Not all firewalls give it grief. Been doing some real sniping have we??? :eek: :p

I can't seem to connect to a server. I get a lot of servers listed, but I get stuck at "Awaiting Gamestate". After waiting, it goes back to the menu screen. One time, I got a bad password message. Any help would be appreciated.
I don't like it. It's not that it's choppy, but instead incredibly laggy to the point where it ruins the game for me. I'm running dsl and this game is terribly laggy.
There's something strange about it too, can't put a finger on it... atmosphere is great.

Anyone else hate the jumping around it does everytime there is an airstrike? I can't stand that! I am all for realism in a game but when there is an airstrike every two seconds I can't focus on anything! I think that the shaking should be toned down a bit so we can see. The sound effects are very good and the graphics seem to be on par we a game of this caliber at least from what I can see.
Yesterday while playing, one of my teammates got shot so bad I needed to give him an injection to get him up on his feet again but it didn't work. I gave him the shot and it healed him up to half but he was still laying on the ground reaching up in agony. But the player could move the character around the room!! His shot up soldier was sliding along the floor, up and down stairs etc, all the while laying on his back, reaching up in a pained expression!! Now that's an error! :D
