Which of the threee do you guys recommend (keep noise as high priority and then price...of course they must have stable lines...):

a) Enermax eg701ax-ve 600w Noisetaker v.2.01................$165
b) OCZ Powerstream 520W (hate the green fan though)....$160
c) Antec Neopower 480w ver.2......................................$145
d) Ultra x-Connect 500w.............................................. $125

I know they're all supposed to be good... although some are saying the quality of antec psu are going slightly....

Are there any others i should be looking at? They must be available in canada (sorry can't find fortron dealers....)

Of those, I'd suggest the OCZ, Enermax, and Antec in that order. The X-Connect still does not impress me - it's an ok unit, but doesn't really have anything about it to get me excited.

Fortron/Sparkle is available in Canada... my favorite dealer is www.razorcomputers.net, but you can also find them at www.shoplci.com, www.hltechnology.com, www.acctech.ca, www.vibecomputers.com, as well as a few others. The AX500 is still nowhere to be found unfortunately in Canada, so I'll recommend the 550w EPS models (FSP550-60PLG - single 12v rail or FSP550-60PLN - dual 12v rail) instead which are around the price range you're looking at.

Edit - just spotted the part about noise being a priority. By that I assume you mean you want it quiet. In that case, I would start looking for the new Seasonic S12 units - up to 600w. Don't know where to get 'em here, but NCIX does carry other Seasonics - might be able to do a special order.

I have run b,c and d and would recommend any of those three.
Of the two modular units I prefer the Antec simply because the cables are easier to modify.
All three produced similar rails on my system (i.e. no problems or failures).
