View Full Version : NCCH-DL Monitoring program
Is anyone aware of a working motherboard monitoring program for the NCCH-DL? I've been trying to diagnose a mysterious slowdown in FAH (50%) that comes and goes and would love to see what's happening voltage and temperature wise.

Does speedfan not work?

No it reports garbage:
Sensor 1
Temp 1 17
Temp 2 17
Temp 3 17
Sensor 2
Temp 1 126
Temp 2 126
Temp3 -126
In degrees centigrade!

I obviously do not have the board, but do you know what sensor chip is on the board?

Although it is garbage (and i wouldn't install it again) if you absolutely need to know temp and voltages you can always uses ASUS' monitoring utility.
I know how to use speed fan ...Ask

It is my understanding that Asus probe doesn't suppout the NCCH-DL. It isn't listed as an available download for this board on the Asus site and it wasn't included on the Asus driver/utility cd that came with it.

How, please?
Install Sped fan 4.2 and then get the beta 4.21 and over write the exe file of 4.2 woth the beta 4.21..Ya should get correct temp readings inn the first group 123 and 126c in the other group of 3
Voltages however are not working correctly working on it....lol

This is good to hear, although it doesn't work with the voltages :(
The ASUS ASWM utility DOES work with the NCCH-DL and it was included on my driver disk. you can also download it here:
http://usa.asus.com/support/download/selectftp.aspx?l1_id=1&l2_id=18&l3_id=4&m_id=3&f_name=ASWM_WIN.zip~zaqwedc
and some installation instructions here:

Albigger,
The ASWM utility requires IIS which I don't have installed and don't plan to install. I'll do the work around on Speedfan.

Changed the first 3 from 17 to 18 degrees otherwise no change.
i question the accuracy of this utility as well , mine are readin 36 , 37 and this useing watercooling . in bios it reads mid 20s
still needs work IMO

Yeah I know, I was just suggesting it as a last resort if you "must have" voltage and temp readings from withing windows. You can always uninstall it later (although again this is WAY more trouble than it needs to be and I would've hoped ASUS to provide a better way of doing this).
Until a program shows to reliably report voltages/temps then I think the best thing to do is use the BIOS readings. MBM and now even the workaround for speedfan have been having issues... so nothing seems reliable as of yet.
EDIT: Just for fun I tried the speedfan workaround and it does not give anything even remotely sensible.
