I tried 1050 (10.5*100) with GA-6VXE7+ and 2x 128 MB 133 MHz CL2 RAM. I couldn't boot up my system. Bios version was F4, now FA but I haven't tested with new FA bios. Any suggestion? By the way CPU voltaj is set to 1.87 and I use Intel's box HSF with thermal grease (mixed with copper powder!).

Hi OnLyTNT, welcome to the Forum,
you must first of all check your Cpu temps not OverClocked @full load (100% load), I suggest you MotherBoardMonitor that you can found at http://mbm.livewiredev.com/ and if around 40 degree C you can try to rise the Fsb. Onestly I suppose that you'll found higher temps coz you're using the Intel stock fan, so it's better for your chip to go with an high performance cooler and after try with the OCing ;)

Thank you.

Well, I tried again with bios version FA. No changes, it didn't want to boot.
The system even doesn't power up the monitor. Just hdd led is lightning for a while then nothing happens. I think I couldn't set the CPU to 1050. But everything is true with the dip switches. I found some articles about C700 overclock with GA-6VXE7+, don't understand what is wrong with my board.

Please, what are your system temps?
it seems to be an heat prob, or the Pci/Agp freq. divider.

Cause my board doesn't support hardware monitoring. But, I can say that C700 is clearly cold @787 and @875. Also, I have a heat fan mounted to back of the case. PCI divider is 1/3 and AGP is 1/2.

I still think to an heat prob,
it's very difficult to verify the Cpu temp touching the HeatSink, coz the 'high' temp are on the Core, so I suggest you to use an external thermal sensor in between the Cpu & the heatSink

get a better cooler, aply the P3 voltage mod, make sure u can get temp. readings from your CPU, and ur ready to go.

A good HSF combo will cost u some bucks, but i always see it as a good investment :)

I see what ever I do on my CPU I have have to get temp and get a better HSF. Thank you all!
