Ok im just wondering, is there anyway that i can determine how long my computer has been running for ?
like every lets say 30days, ill give my computer a reboot- is there a way to find out how long the computer has been running for ?
(os = xp pro)
thanks

Go to the event viewer, in the system log there is an Information event logged by the source 'eventlog' and EventID: 6013. It lists the uptime in seconds.

edit: that other method is much easier...

here is another---- abit more eligant and faster - once setup - just one click
right click My Network Neighborhood | properties | right click your network connection | create short cut | answer the question about creating a desktop icon - yes ,,,,you should have on your desktop an icon for your LAN connection - launch it and it will display uptime etc,,,,,,,,,,,,

here is one that takes less time, but requires more typing

start > run > cmd > net statistics workstation

or ... net statistics server - also works
