Hi, a while ago I got a Cyrix 6x86MX 200Mhz amongst a big box of computers and bits (hah! you say, but in it's day the M2 core convincingly beat the Pentium MMX). For about the past year it has just sat doing nothing, but I opened the thing up to poke inside and found sticks of Lanstar Semiconductor EDO ram, what was odd the stuff has aluminium heat spreaders on it. Has anyone else seen EDO like this? As I would have thought that even fairly overvolted it shouldn't need them?
