Fans question

Is there any difference between the different brands of case/cpu fans? such as panaflow, sunon, ys tech, top motor, thermaltake, and so on.

yes, keep away from thermaltake, there fan specs are wrong and the coolers are bad, i like ys-tech, they produce good case fans but they are quite noisy. if you can still get hold of panaflows get then, because last time i checked they wren't being made. the rest are ok

Get Papst fans! Low noise and very powerful!

The thing is that each manufacturer makes a variety of fans. look at the data sheets. Also if you can find a larger fan that has more blades you will get more airflow at lower speeds. Meaning you can run it a 7V and get plenty of air and no noise.......

papst seem to have the better bearing. A bad bearing can also make a fan loud. And shorten the life.
