Out with the old, in with the new...got an X800 Pro on its way. What sorta boost do these drivers give for that?

I was planning on sticking with the 4.12's.

Still have a few more small reg tweaks left on this install that I was running with the 5.1 run...Figured with the tweaks I might get 100 to 150 more marks over the 5.1's

There seems to be a small performance boost in 01...havent tried 03 or 05 ...

Will post back with 03 and 05 results...

in 01' a difference of even 300 points is a margin of error - use 03 or 05 which is more vid card depended.

i decide toput em in - proper uninstall / reinstall

play Farcry - @ 1024 x 768 No AA or AF and all details @ medium - i get MAX 40 FPS!!!

this is on an x800 XT! stock!!!

what is that crap!!! - with 5.1 i could easily do 1280 x 1024 with all setting on HIGH and 4x AA and hit 60+ FPS...

Okay - seems that F@H does not use JUST extra CPu cycles - it hogs em alll!

had it running, did not know it - that is why my FPS were so slow - kill it and my FPR jumped to 70-130FPS with 1280 x 1024 - everything on high and AA @ 4x.

These suck big balls!!!! my 3dmark03 score went down 150 points and my counterstrike fps test went down 6 fps. Im goin back to the 5.1's!

Use 03 or 05 for benchmarking Drivers or overall GPU preformance. 01 is just a basic system preformance.

I'm still running 4.12's here and like 4.8's on my other system. Don't plan on jumping ship with a new driver every month, just would make my registry look like crap like it already does. Expecially since almost everywhere I read people are having huge loss in preformance with the drivers. I've heard of only 1 x800pro getting better results so far.

your nature and lobby low went up but your car low went down. did you clock your gpu higher to get that increase in nature? also it looks like you ran lobby low first. 4.11, 4.12 and this 5.1 were all equally fast for me, but 5.1 was the most stable by far. id like to see more results before I try the 5.2 myself cause id have to bench again all over.

I tried them (windows me ones), and was getting 4-5 FPS less in many games. In 3dmark 03 I was getting like 8 fps average on proxycon, and I used to get like 20 with the 4.10, so I'm staying with them.
