Well i formatted, and just started installing a few things.

When trying to install some programs (MSN messenger, Alcohol 120%, another one before)
I got an error saying "Error XXXX The folder path 'My Pictures' contains an invalid character"

For MSN i got error 1603 and for alcohol I got error 1324

Since I just formatted.. maybe something got corrupted? I read somewhere that someone with this problem used registry mechanic to fix it, but this didn't work. Neither did Tune-Up Utilities 2004.

I ran windows update and got all the critcal updates, and still no good.
I might mention that I go rid of the original folders "My pictures", "My Music", and "My Videos" by the way... but i don't see why that would be a problem?

What do you think? I have no idea whats going on...
I got around it temporarily by using the seconds user of the PC's account to install stuff. But I would like to fix my own! Thanks
