can widows boot if so i know theres an partioniner in windows if windows cant boot up id try useing the winxp cd you got and redoing the partion again if that dont work then im sorry i dont know of any 3rd party software for doing that
bootitng should work for you (I know it's a boot manager, but you can use it to partition and resize ntfs partitions without installing it). There are also several linux-based recovery cds that you can boot from and non-destructively resize ntfs partitions. You'll want one that can boot to a graphical environmnet and use something like qtparted. Here's one I've used: http://www.sysresccd.org/
