I have an Inno3d GeForce 2 MX 400 64mb with TV out, and I should be getting my BLORB in a few hours.
I would like to know how you guys removed the heatsink/fan, if it was easy to remove, have any of you killed the video card from trying?

I have heard to stick it in my freezer for 15-30 mins in a bag, then try to pry off, but won't condensation form on the card?

Also, it looks like the old goop will be hard, any tips on removing the spots that don't come off?

I've heard that the blorbs need to be lapped, have you guys had to lap 'em?

I got Arctic Silver Adhesive too, I know I need to mix it 1:1, but I was thinking of using AS in the mix also, to make it 1:1:1, anyone do this? (to make it a lil bit less permanent)

Had my card in the deep freeze for about 20 minutes and gently twisted the heatsink off. Yes, condensation was a temporary problem when removed from the freezer. Evaporated...no biggie.
I had to sandpaper the blue coating off to provide a better thermal interface. I read that the blue coating will limit the thermal conductivity, so off it went.
I used nail polish remover to get rid of the remaining gloppy gloop from the cpu. It will come off. Alcohol for the finishing clean up.
Used screws w/plastic standoffs to fasten the Blorb to the card instead of the push pins. AS2 was used.
LOOKS PRETTY :) OH it's functional too!:D

You can also run the 3DMark2001 demo in a loop for about 20 minutes and then use a butter knife and VERY CAREFULLY pop the HS off. This is how I did it and it worked great.
